Kathmandu – The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office on Tuesday handed over 20 two-wheelers, lost on different dates, to their respective owners after a successful search.
At a program organized at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Binod Ghimire handed over six motorbikes and 14 scooters to their rightful owners.
The search operation was initiated based on applications received by the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office. Some of these vehicles were found with their original number plates, while others had fake number plates. They were recovered from various locations in Kathmandu Valley, including UN Park, Airport, Naya Bus Park, Guhyeshwari, Gaushala, Sundarijal, Kalimati, Thamel, Maligaon, Chundevi, Jagati, Deepjyoti, Boudhha, Gokarneshwor, Narephate, and Nepaltar.
Since the month of Shrawan, the Traffic Police have handed over a total of 337 two-wheelers, including the 20 delivered today. Additionally, 53 individuals involved in vehicle theft, along with 36 stolen two-wheelers, have been sent to various police stations and police units for legal action.
The owners of the recovered two-wheelers, who had reported their vehicles missing on different dates, expressed their gratitude to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
