Kathmandu – On the first trading day of the week, the stock market experienced a decline. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index dropped by 46.33 points, closing at 2,772.10 points.
A total of 13 sub-groups participated in today’s transactions, with the sub-indices of all 13 sub-groups decreasing, reflecting a market-wide downturn.
As per today’s transaction, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited led the market with a total transaction value of 1 billion, 124 million, 849 thousand, and 964 rupees.
In today’s trading, Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited, 9% ICFC Finance Limited Debenture 2088, and Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited emerged as the top gainers, with their share prices increasing by 10 percent and 9.99 percent, respectively, hitting the positive circuit. Meanwhile, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Sindhu Bikash Bank Limited, and Rapti Hydro and General Construction Limited were the top losers, with their share prices decreasing by 10 percent and 9.87 percent respectively, hitting the negative circuit.
A total of 315 companies participated in today’s transactions. The total number of shares traded was 22 million, 726 thousand, and 283 shares, generating a total transaction value of 10 billion, 93 million, 654 thousand, and 129 rupees.
