Kathmandu – On the first day of this week’s trading, the stock market experienced a decline. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index decreased by 11.49 points, closing at 2,688.31 points.
A total of 13 sub-groups participated in today’s transactions, with the sub-indices of 9 sub-groups showing a decrease, while the sub-indices of 4 sub-groups increased.
As per today’s transaction, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited led the market with a total transaction value of 311 million, 683 thousand, and 395 rupees.
In today’s trading, Central Finance Company Limited and Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited emerged as the top gainers, with their share prices increasing by 10 percent, hitting the positive circuit. Meanwhile, Saptakoshi Development Bank Limited was the top loser, with its share price decreasing by 6.52 percent.
A total of 305 companies participated in today’s transaction. The total number of traded shares was 15 million, 855 thousand, and 610 shares, generating a total transaction value of 8 billion, 398 million, 660 thousand, and 628 rupees.
