Kathmandu– Under the ceasefire agreement, effective from Sunday, the first three Israeli hostages have returned to Israel after being released from Gaza. They have reunited with their families.
With this, the people of Gaza are celebrating the end of the fatal Israeli attacks that lasted for more than fifteen months. According to health authorities, the ceasefire has ended the life-taking Israeli assault, which claimed the lives of more than 46,900 Palestinians. The attacks have caused extensive damage to Gaza. In Gaza, these attacks have led to widespread disease and hunger.
Among the released hostages are three women: 28-year-old British-Israeli Emily Damari, 30-year-old Romanian-Israeli Doron Steinbrecher, a veteran nurse, and 23-year-old Romi Gonen, who was abducted from the Nova Music Festival. Both Emily and Doron were kidnapped from Kibbutz Kfar Aza, located outside northern Gaza.
Of the 98 hostages still held in Gaza, half are believed to be alive, although Hamas has not confirmed this.
