Kathmandu– On the first trading day of the week, the stock market witnessed a decline. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index dropped by 21.12 points, settling at 2,609.58 points.
In today’s trading session, a total of 13 sub-groups participated. Out of these, the sub-indices of 10 sub-groups recorded a decrease, while only 3 sub-groups showed an increase.
As per Sunday’s transaction data, Prabhu Bank Limited led the market with a total transaction amounting to NPR 261 million, 82 thousand, and 664.
Mahila Microfinance Company Limited and Aatmanirbhar Microfinance Company Limited emerged as the top gainers, with their share prices rising by 10 percent and 9.98 percent, respectively, triggering the positive circuit .
Conversely, Support Microfinance Company Limited, Narayani Development Bank Limited, Saptakoshi Development Bank, Janaki Finance Company Limited, and Sindhu Bikash Bank were the top losers. Their share prices fell by 10 percent, activating the negative circuit .
A total of 316 companies participated in today’s trading, with 11 million, 99 thousand, and 239 shares traded. The total transaction volume reached NPR 5 billion, 474 million, 868 thousand, and 764.
