Kathmandu – President Ram Chandra Poudel has issued an ordinance on cooperatives. The ordinance was issued on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers in relation to the amendment of several acts.
The ordinance was approved during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held last Tuesday. One of the key provisions of the ordinance is the formation of a Cooperative Regulatory Commission, which will be responsible for monitoring cooperative bodies.
The five-member commission will include a supplementary chairman, an expert, a chartered accountant, and the joint secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives.
