Egg Prices Increase: What Is the New Cost per Crate..?

Kathmandu – The Nepal Layers Poultry Association has announced a new price for eggs starting today. The decision was made during a virtual meeting on Thursday. The new prices, which are based on Chitwan, apply to egg sales across the country. The Association has asked traders to follow the updated prices.

The Association said that the cost of transporting eggs from Chitwan to different parts of the country will increase by NRs 140 per box. This includes the cost of freight, cartons, and crates. Under the new prices, a crate of medium-sized eggs will cost NRs 470, and a crate of large-sized eggs will cost NRs 485.

Madan Pokhrel, the Secretary of the Association, hopes that this decision will help improve market management.
